YOUNG PEOPLE’S PROFILE:
You can apply if you are a young person aged 17-30, who have transferable skills and are willing to contribute to different projects with our partners across Europe.

CEF & Lyncx In partnership with Erasmus+ are happy to present a choice opportunity for young people from Britain to work with and contribute their skills to social projects around Europe and at the at the same time, seize the opportunity to develop their own or gain new abilities, knowledge and attitudes through their international volunteering experience.

We hope to foster young people’s sense of belonging to the multicultural communities of our partner countries Spain, Italy, Turkey, Macedonia and Romania while empowering them to play an active role in tackling social issues, developing their social entrepreneurship skills, their cultural awareness and also language skills.

 Participating Young People can contribute by but not limited to:

  • Teaching English to other children/young people and young people
  • Organising football and other sports activities, including coaching sessions with other young people involved in sport projects
  • Organising creative workshops such as social theatre, street dance, drama, arts & crafts
  • Sharing your experience and moments on the project online and social media presence through images, articles etc
  • General support and skills-sharing.

We anticipate that by participating is our EVS programme, young people will gain:

  • Inter-cultural Awareness
  • Inter-cultural Awareness
  • Sense of Initiative and Entrepreneurship
  • Technical Knowledge & Direction Regarding Career Path.
  • Increased Foreign Languages Competences
  • Self-Empowerment and Self-esteem
  • Better Awareness of the European Contexts and the EU Values;

YOUNG PEOPLE’S PROFILE:
You can apply if you are a young person aged 17-30, who have transferable skills and are willing to contribute to different projects with our partners across Europe.

CEF Lyncx (CEFL) is a London based grass roots community-led Charity formed by a group of local professionals in March 2011 with a core aim to help improve life chances for disadvantaged children, young people and families living in Lambeth.
CEF Lyncx has a mandate to advance education and provide capacity building opportunities for people who are socially, emotionally, educational and economically disadvantaged. Our direct beneficiaries each week, 90% of 600, are children and young people.

The project European Youth Volunteering London- Brixton/ Lambeth is been developed in partnership with Chance for Life Romania, Interra Russia and SISLI KAYMAKAMLIGI from Turkey.

Our project objectives are: 

  • To host two groups of 4 people (a total of 8 young people) from Romania, Turkey and Russia in London , for 6 months each, allowing them to discover a new culture, improve their language skills , enhance their cultural awareness and develop new friendships and interest that will support their personal and professional development.
  • To develop the communication, English language and leadership skills of the 8 young people, by involving them in a campaign that will promote the opportunities of Erasmus+ among British young people.
  • To develop the employability prospects of the 8 young people by involving them in a volunteering activities that develop their skills, and through trainings, such as “From International Volunteering to Employment”, “Sport Coaching Level 1 and 2”, “Leadership and Project management”.
  • To increase the capacity of the 4 participating organisations to successfully manage EVS projects, and to successfully involve more local young people in the opportunities offered by Erasmus+.

Through this project we are seeking to address the needs of young European people to engage in multicultural volunteering activities that allow them to strengthen their skills and abilities, while developing new one, such as intercultural awareness, language skills, cooperation, communication, leadership and entrepreneurial skills. At the same time, the project addresses the needs of London local community of young people and non-for-profit organisations of being informed about the opportunities of Erasmus+ and being inspired to get engaged.
